modernize, strengthen and improve the operational efficiency of the Gambia Groundnut Corporation (GGC), maintain its market share, position itself at the high end of the groundnut value chain, improve its profitability, and preserve and increase the income of 70% of the rural population engaged in groundnut production.<br>The project comprises the following eight components:<br>\u2022 Upgrading the processing infrastructure of the Gambia Groundnut Cooperation;<br>\u2022 Improving the groundnut river transport system;<br>\u2022 Improving groundnut storage, unloading and handling infrastructure;<br>\u2022 Management of groundnut shell waste;<br>\u2022 Improving the quality of testing systems;<br>\u2022 Technical assistance to support the groundnut value chain;<br>\u2022 Project management and activity supervision;<br>\u2022 Financial audit.<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<h3><strong>Mission of IDC :<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>\u2022 Review of existing studies;<br>\u2022 Preparation of the studies required for the various components of the project;<br>\u2022 Supervision of construction works;<br>\u2022 Equipment acquisition and procurement;<br>\u2022 Installation of
